Genevieve "Gennie" Gorback's first career goal as a child was to become a baker, as she always loved baking cookies, brownies, and other delicacies with her dad. Then, unfortunately, she learned that most professional bakers have to wake up really early or otherwise adhere to strict timelines, neither of which were her jam. Little Gennie decided that baking would have to stay a joyful hobby, and allowed other dreams to take over. Now, she passionately throws herself into other interests, such as teaching, writing, and parenting. She has a particular affection for picture books and is working toward becoming a published author. Gennie lives in the San Francisco Bay area with her college sweetheart, two daughters and lots and lots of books.
